Copperhead Snake


Copperhead snake real name may refer to a variety of different species of snakes.

American Copperhead snake (Agkistrodon contortrix) is a pit viper native North American species.
Copperhead Rat Snake (Elaphe radiata) is a species of snake native Asia.
Copperhead snake genus throughout Australia form Australia's native elapids, genus named Austrelaps.

American Copperhead Snake
American Copperhead snake (Agkistrodon contortrix) belonging to the genus Agkistrodon; a group of snakes commonly referred to as mokasin. Copperhead snakes are American pit viper; ambush predator that will stay hidden and wait for the mouse arrived. It feeds mainly on small animals such as rats and pengerat rats.

The Copperhead name comes from the copper-colored head and neck of adults of species of snakes. Even as adults, American Copperhead Snakes usually live about 1.5 feet (50 cm), but sometimes reach a length of specimen 3 feet (1 meter). Compared to the other hole a viper, American Copperhead Snake has incredible body lean.

There are five recognized subspecies of American Copperhead Snake:

Agkistrodon contortrix mokasen
Agkistrodon contortrix phaeogaster

Asia Copperhead Snake
This snake is also known as Copperhead Rat Snake and Rat Snake radiated. Elaphe radiate literary name was and is a member of the genus Elaphe Rat Snake, which makes it relatively far from the popular pet corn snake. You can search for Copperhead snake species in Bangladesh, Burmese, Cambodian, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Australian Copperhead snakes
