American Copperhead Snake

American Copperhead snake (Agkistrodon contortrix) belonging to the genus Agkistrodon; a group of snakes commonly referred to as mokasin. Copperhead snakes are American pit viper; ambush predator that will stay hidden and wait for the mouse arrived. It feeds mainly on small animals such as rats and pengerat rats.

The Copperhead name comes from the copper-colored head and neck of adults of species of snakes.
